Orlando hosts two comic cons in mid-August

Orlando hosts two back-to-back cons in mid-August, reports Florida Comic Cons, a news media website that covers conventions and cosplayers in The Sunshine State. Megacon Orlando is August 12-15, followed by Fanboy Expo Orlando on August 20-22.

First up: Megacon Orlando 2021

Megacon Orlando is one of the largest comic cons in the nation and by far the biggest in Florida, double the attendance of Tampa Bay Comic Convention. In previous years, Megacon Orlando has drawn more than 100,000 attendees over its four days.

Hours and tickets for 2021 event

Thursday hours are 4 p.m. – 9.m., Friday hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets are still available, but some are sold out (kid and family passes sold out Saturday).

The following weekend, August 20-22, is Fanboy Expo Orlando, a three-day event that features a wide spectrum of fan interests.

Hours and tickets for 2021 event

Friday hours are 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets include: Friday $30, Saturday $40, and Sunday $35. Three-day pass is $95. Fan packages can offer more value for those who want tickets as well as celebrity photos and autographs.
