March is a big month in Florida for anime, comic, and pop culture conventions with five happening throughout the state. And Florida Comic Cons is here to tell you about each one. There are two events in Orlando, and one each in Tallahassee, Lakeland, and Fort Myers. And among these five events is one of the largest in the nation: MegaCon Orlando.

 

FreeCon 2023 March 4-5

Freecon is an anime and gaming convention in Tallahassee, Florida. The convention takes place on March 4-5 and is held at the Oglesby Union. And the event will include a maid café, celebrity guests, cosplay contest, video games, panels, and more. The event offers free entry to all. SW-FloridaCon March 5

SW-FloridaCon is a one-day pop culture event on Sunday, March 5 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Fort Myers. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and cost $20, and children under age 11 are free. More info here.

MY-CON March 18

MY-CON is a one-day comic and anime convention in Orlando, Florida on March 18th, 2023. The mystical event is at Avanti Palms Resort and Conference Center- on I-drive. The convention will include all day karaoke, gaming, fan run panels, and board games. Convention hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online or at the convention. In addition, military and children under seven, will be granted free entry. More info here.

 

FL PolyCon March 18

FL PolyCon is a geek culture celebration on March 18, 2023 in Lakeland, Florida. The convention is held at the Florida Polytechnic University. In addition, hosted by the students of the university, the event features live music, a free arcade room, and an evil laugh competition! Convention hours are scheduled from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and available online. More info here.

MegaCon Orlando March 30-April 2

Megacon Orlando 2023 is a large pop culture convention in Orlando, Florida on March 30-April 2. In fact, MegaCon Orlando is one of the biggest pop culture cons in the nation. And the four-day event is at the Orange County Convention Center. In addition, Thursday hours are 4 p.m. – 9.m., Friday hours 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. More info here.

Tickets

The event offers ticket in four categories: Adults, youth (ages 13-17), children (ages 6-12), and family (2 adults and up to 4 children). And prices are less expensive during early bird period.

  • Thursday: Adult $28, youth $23, child $13, family $61.
  • Friday: Adult $49, youth $39, child $13, family $83.
  • Saturday: Adult $65, youth $55, child $13, family sold out.
  • Sunday: Adult $54, youth $44, child $13, family $113.
  • Four-day pass: Four-day pass is $115.
